Trivial - can you put Toms in the washing machine?

Was going to put this in style and beauty but then realised Toms are neither stylish, nor beautiful!

Can someone please tell me whether you can just shove them in the washing machine? I haven't got time to faff around with bicarb of soda etc, and basically they are pretty pongy after a long day of work.

Will the washing machine clean them or kill them??

I put my bobs in the washing machine which are basically the same as Tom's.

I stuff a microfibre cloth into each one to help dry out the insides

I've washed mine before when they seemed beyond saving, it did them no harm.

I've washed my Toms several times and they come out really well. I turn the spin speed down a bit.

I chuck my bobs in twice a week with no ill effects

I have. Cold wash so the glue doesn't melt and mine came out fine. Stick some bio or stain remover in to make up for the cold water.

I truly believe that Toms are god’s gift to my feet. I put my first pair in the wash years ago and the glue melted and the sole fell off. BUT now I put them in a pillowcase at 30 degrees (or on a handwash cycle, still 30 degrees) and they come out lovely. I have black and dove grey pairs.

Hurray, they survived! And smell lovely now!

Anyone got any tips for stopping them get stinky? My feet aren't particularly smelly, and I wear those thin tight like liners when I wear them, but for whatever reason they just seem to stink at the end of the day!
