Since the beginning of this year I’ve suffered from severe stomach pain. I had a gastroscopy which revealed stomach ulcers (not with H Pylori) and was prescribed omeprazole which I take daily.
The omeprazole has helped with the stomach pain and I don’t think I have ulcers anymore, waiting for another gastroscopy to confirm. But now I have awful bowel cramps. It’s definitely in my gut this time rather than my stomach and it is almost constantly rumbling to the point you can hear it across the room. The cramps also cause random swellings in my abdomen that move around and feel to my hand exactly like baby kicks did when I was pregnant (I am 100% not pregnant). I’ve spoken to the GP and he’s given me laxatives and Simeticome which just make me poo and fart more but don’t relieve any of the symptoms. He then suggested it could be an allergy but I’ve already cut out all major things like gluten, wheat and dairy as I thought it could be that before I contacted him. So now he’s decided that I have a “working diagnosis” of IBS and has sort of left me to it.
Any suggestions as to what it could be? I don’t have dihorrea or any back door problems so I’m not convinced it’s IBS. I’m in constant pain to the point I can’t stand up straight most days and I don’t know what I can do.
