Feeling poorly. Tested- not COVID. What do you cook for DCs 7 and 5 when you are not feeling well?

Anything I can cobble together that I’m fairly sure will be eaten and tummies filled. Beans/spagetti on toast, pesto pasta. boiled egg and soldiers, any variation of beige freezer dinner, a ‘picnic’ in the living room, breakfast for dinner i.e cereal.

a couple of days of less than ideal meals isn’t going to significantly diminish their life chances, don’t be too hard on yourself and make sure you get as much rest as you can.

When I get poorly I just ram raid the freezer for things they'll eat and throw a bag of veg in to microwave to show willing. Don't be a hero, get well soon.

Scrambled eggs or beans on toast...even a "picnic tea" of sandwiches, fruit and snacks like coldmeats, boiled eggs veg sticks etc that will do until you're feeling better x

My three love cheese on toast with Red Leicester and cheddar strips so it’s striped and served with a mug of Baxter’s tomato soup. They always eat it and if you’re poorly there’s minimal prep / having to smell things if you are sick sick etc

also ice cream and sown core ripe fruit and a bit of milk chucked in the blender for homemade milkshakes hope you feel better soon

Is their dad not on the scene?
If so, why can't he sort it out?

Sausage egg and chips if you're up to it if not KFC.

Obviously we didn't know what you've got in your fridge/cupboard but keep it simple - frozen pizza, sandwiches, beans on toast, bit of fruit to be 'healthy'. It's not essential to have 'a proper meal' every single day.

I’d do a cheese quesadilla with salad veg like avocado, cucumber and tomato

Take away or beans on toast.

When I feel rotten I always crave cheese on toast and Heinz tomato soup. Funnily enough the DC also love it and it's really easy to make if you're not feeling up to it.

But when I'm really not feeling up to it I've been known to give DDs Weetabix for dinner, or toast and some fruit. If their tummies are filled they'll be fine.
