Passport renewal turnover times

Hi all,

If you’ve received a renewed passport back recently, how long did it take?

I’m worrying about our upcoming holiday.

Oh no, though standard government advice is to always allow up to 10 weeks…

Three weeks, been waiting for return of old passport and overseas passport for another week, paid extra for return postage as it's a current passport. Anyone know how long that takes?

@Sponge19 I know, I’m going on holiday from 10 July until 2 August and passport is 10 years old in August. It’s supposedly still valid and I didn’t want to risk it so I renewed it thinking I had plenty of time. If it takes 10 weeks exactly it will arrive on 8 July but lots of people are saying theirs took longer ☹️

Just renewed my twins passports. Online applications. One was processed by Glasgow office, took 2 weeks to get new passport back. The other one processed by Bootle office took 3 weeks to get new passport back. These were renewals, exchanging child passport for 1st adult passports

Child to adult renewal, 11 days from online application to receiving new passport.

12 days and received it today. That's with a rejected photo as well so had to resubmit a new one

Sent at beginning of March, got it back last week, so about 10 weeks.

18 days - online renewal

two weeks exactly. applied May 10 online for passport renewal, new one arrived today

Child renewal took just under three weeks. Applied end of April. Belfast office.
