Next week were holding a party for my son who turns 6 its 10am-12pm at the local soft play ive got 24 kids confirmed as coming so far, i wrote on the invites that only light refreshments and drinks will be provided that may not be everyone's cup of tea I know but weve decided crisps biscuits and cakes as the place isn't doing hot food currently and we don't want to waste half the kids time eating.

Anyway so it's a 2 hour soft play party with a cake cutting and a party bag to take home. Is it enough ? Im proper stressing out about this.

It’s fine

It's enough, don't worry! It'll probably be play for an hour, eat, play some more while you cut cake and put in party bags.

Oh and the food is also fine!

JemimaTiggywinkle · 21/05/2022 19:28

It’s fine, it’s not a meal time, they can all have lunch at home after.

RandomMess · 21/05/2022 19:28

It's all fine, it's before lunch so it isn't a time they need a proper meal/food.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 21/05/2022 19:29

My ds would've loved that and I'd have loved it as home for lunch and he'd have been shattered so quite in the afternoon and then an early night 😉

Thinkingblonde · 21/05/2022 19:29

Yes, it sounds good to me. The kids will have eaten breakfast at home (hopefully)so won’t need feeding. They’ll have a great time at the soft play, and all kids love cake and a party bag.

SoggyPaper · 21/05/2022 19:29

Kids barely eat at parties anyway.

Crocsandshocks · 21/05/2022 19:31

Sounds ideal.

DarkDarkNight · 21/05/2022 19:40

Given the time I think it’s fine, it’s mentioned on the invite so people won’t be banking on food.

ABIIOR · 21/05/2022 21:19

As long as you've mentioned it on the invitations I think it's absolutely fine

Ohdoleavemealone · 21/05/2022 21:23

Kids are never interested in the food anyway!

clarepetal · 21/05/2022 21:46

Sounds perfect. You've mentioned if on the invites so people shouldn't expect food. If they do, they are twats.
