What have you got rid of and then regreted?

I'm currently trying to declutter in the hope that I might actually move at some point soon.

I need to be ruthless but I'm struggling and getting side-tracked and wonder what others have gotten rid of in the past and then regreted their decision.

It's probably not quite the same but I often get rid of clothes and then regret it at a later date when I have nothing to wear. But I'm more thinking of valuable/sentimental items. I have a lot of sentimental things and I worry I'll regret getting rid.

Nothing. I was ruthless and I regret nothing.

Take photos of your sentimental things then let them go, you'll always have the memory of them in your head and no one can take that from you.

Don’t get rid of clothes if you need space use the vacuum bags to put away winter clothes etc and then get them back out

I left a much loved Foo Fighters hoodie
with a knobhead boyfriend and never got it back.

Still miss that hoodie. Not the knobhead though.

I have a big pile of shout magazines I collected through the 1990s. I kept them in a huge box and looked through them occasionally for nostalgia. I threw them out when I moved into my own house because we didn't really have space and it seemed the right time to purge them. Sometimes I wish I hadn't because I'd love to see them again.
