Would you stop the sale?

I own a house circa 275. Got asking price and was very happy with that. Been looking for somewhere suitable everyday since (8 weeks ago) and literally nothing has come up in the area bar one place that was just within budge but frankly needed loads of work and on balance, although bigger, didn’t have the same nice feel as my house.

Im pregnant so realistically if we don’t sell and move now it will be a couple of years away. I was worried about childcare costs coming into it later on but frankly I have given up on that side of things and calculated that I could probably still borrow a similar amount and it wouldn’t be the end of the world.

I feel bad for the buyer too. But don’t think they will wait much longer. I don’t want to come out of the market so that’s not an option but I’m actually starting to find the uncertainty really shit and have even started thinking I could get a nice car if I stayed put! It’s not like me to be reckless like that either but I guess I just feel exhausted with looking.

what would you do?

For content the house is a two bed one bath. It’s big enough downstairs (just) and the bedrooms are a reasonable size but obviously overall it’s small and we could do with an extra couple of rooms/utility room.
