Shoes for on the beach for 3 year old

It's our first holiday abroad and I'm wondering what shoes would be best for on the beach (if any!)
If the sand is hot etc.

Crocs, jelly shoes or those scuba material beach shoes?

Any recommendations please?

We buy the neoprene wet shoes with a little plastic sole. Means they can walk on hot sand without burning their feet and run straight into the sea without scrapes from stones/shells. Plus they don't tend to fall off their feet or float away in the sea.

Yep closed neoprene shoes otherwise you’ll spend your life digging little stones out of the side of jelly shoes!

Does no one else fine that the neoprene shoes get filled up with wet sand and are ridiculously uncomfortable to walk in as soon as you’ve been in the sea in them?

Crocs all the way. They are the only shoes in my option that toddlers should wear.

Only if you don't buy the right size.

We have the crocs sandals (not clogs) for our nearly 3 year old and they're great for the beach but also just for hit weather generally.

*hot weather!

Yes!! I really don’t like them for this reason.
They're a real Pain in the ass to get off as well.
I’d vote for crocs if you want them to go in the water. Easy on and off, cheap as chips alternatives available all over the place.

Crocs. I find the neoprene shoes stay wet, so you have to put unpleasant soggy shoes on a reluctant toddler. Crocs are great. Some have holes round the rim, as it were - lets the water out, which I find a bonus. They float, so even if they do fall off, you can usually find them again. And easy to brush sand off, as they dry so quickly.

Crocs it is then! Thanks everyone!!
