I've googled and googled. I read it about 20 years ago and it's probably aimed at late teens/20s.

Its about a guy that breaks up with his girlfriend, goes travelling to India and absolutely hates it. It's very funny.

I'll be amazed if anyone can recall it.

This rings a bell. Did he go with another girl, and they both fancied each other but never quite got it together?

The one I'm thinking of had a pink and orange cover.

Does he get the squits while staying in a hostel?
