Do the passport office return your old passport?

I know they used to return your old passport with the corner cut off. My DD's new passport arrived about 6 weeks ago but no sign of the old one yet.

Mine arrived several weeks after the new passport.

I don't know.....definitely got my adult one last time but now can't remember if DD 10 got her old one back the other week.....was about to merrily say yes but can't think where it is if they did!

It arrives separately, a little while later.

We gave up on the birth certificate for ds coming back, was over 10 weeks later! Did come though.

Yes they do. Ds's came back a couple of weeks after his new one arrived. A corner was cut off and there was a sticker on the back with his details on.
