After a shit year, following a shit year, I've got two weeks off at the beginning of July.
I'm recovering from a virus and have had to take strong antibiotics for a suspected UTI and I'm currently wiped out.
I usually work shifts with 5 or 6 off days a month and the temptation is to just stay in bed on my off days.
I need to plan this, otherwise I will spend two weeks shambling around the house in leggings and slides, going out to the shops as and when required.
I do not want to spend much, if any time doing regular housework.
I'd like to do a spot of DIY (flaky paint, sand and Osmo the doors, upcycle furniture and do all the little jobs that annoy me), physical, mental and spiritual self improvement, beautification, indulge my cross stitch hobby, work in the garden and get out of the house to actual destinations.
Added bonus, I can't drive and public transport is not great.
What's the best way to tackle this?
After the two weeks, I'll fall back into a dreadful pattern where I can't do anything on a regular basis - I work earlies, days, lates and nights in a regular but not particular order.
Day trips? Themed days? Short city break somewhere?
IF I don't plan this and have nothing to aim at, I'm going to waste it all.
