Please help - out of area 11+ how does it work?

In the middle of buying/selling house and the chain below us has collapsed. Even if we manage to secure the house we've offered on, we probably won't get DS registered at school in time to apply for the 11+ and the SEN accommodations he needs.

Has anybody applied to do the 11+ from out of area? Would this be a situation that it would work for?

Basically I'm having a truly shit day watching all my very hard thought out plans fall through and I just want to try and secure something for my little boy who really really likes a school that youneed to do the 11+ for.

Please can you help?

Depends on the area I think. Where we are (Glos) anyone can apply from anywhere to sit it.

You can register from out of area to take the test but really need to be situ before end October application deadline unless they are superselective or have out of area places.

When would he be sitting it? Where we are I think anyone can apply to sit but it would then be down to where you are living once they started allocating the places (out of those who passed) and their other admissions criteria.
