Is this a far fetched pregnancy worry?

I’m a few months pregnant and we were due to move last month but it fell through. We are still in a rented flat where the boiler smells like rotten eggs every so often maybe once a day or so for 20 minutes.

We’ve had the landlord round, a gas engineer (who replaced a part) and also British Gas when the smell was particularly bad. It seems that it’s not leaking carbon monoxide but it is bacteria somewhere that is causing the smell and bits/the whole thing needs replacing. Landlord refuses to replace the boiler until winter as it still works and isn’t ‘dangerous.’ However I have now read that it could also be propane leaking as that smells similar to rotten eggs

im panicking so much as we sleep right next to the boiler (it’s the room next door). I am so worried about the baby.

That's shocking OP. Call environmental health I think? Your landlord seems way out of line to me.
As if being pregnant wasn't hard enough without people treating you like this!

Do you think it could be harming the baby @heldinadream ? I am so worried. I just want to move out.

what would environmental health do?

I don't know lovely but I know that you're not just being over-reactive, you have a right to have a boiler that works properly. Call them and ask? Hopefully they can point you in the right direction. Your landlord isn't just allowed to do whatever the fuck he likes, there are regulations. my sense is that he's fobbing you off and you shouldn't put up with it.
Please don't panic about your baby (as the baby is still inside you I'd be more worried about you!) but take some action if you can to challenge your landlord, who it seems to me is not fulfilling his (or her) responsibilities.

Is it definitely the boiler? My washing machine stinks during one part of the wash cycle (keep meaning to run a cleaning solution through it...) could it be that?
