Help me! I have no idea what to buy. I need a weekend bag that will hold clothes and toiletries plus a laptop. Budget up to £60. Nothing seems to fit the bill so any recommendations gratefully received :-)

No experience as we use wheeled trolley cases on ryanair but when I was looking for these there are plenty of 'review' sites which 'specialisation ryanair valid bags...

A quick Google of ryanair rucksack brought up this...

Easyjet is 45x36x20 max. I managed with a Salomon one cinched to size (depth was an issue due to front pocket). .

We got ours in Mountain Warehouse. My husband's had a zip off bag to put his laptop etc in and mine had a pouch in the inner bit. They also fitted in enough clothes for a 2 week backpacking trip in Central America.

We've generally found that having a rucksack means you're less likely to get "picked" to put your bags in the hold if they're full and/or get asked to double check that your bag fits in the box as they generally look smaller and as though you're not taking the as much as others with suitcases. Although that said it's been a few years since we've gone on proper budget flights so maybe that's changed.

And a jacket with lots of big pockets!

mdh2020 · 17/05/2022 17:13

If you are flying with easyJet your back pack has to fit under the seat. If you want to put it in the overheads you have to pay!

I have a Cabin Zero bag which comes in loads of different colours which means they’re easy to identify in a sea of black, grey and navy. I use it as a weekend bag and can fit my laptop in at the same time.

They frequently have offer codes on- I got the medium one for my SIL at Christmas there and paid about £40.

I use this backpack . Can fit laptop, headphones, enough clothes for a weekend and toiletries and it fits under RA & EJ seats no problem . I travel a lot and hate paying for a carry on.

Soontobe60 · 17/05/2022 17:22

Who are you flying with and what are the max bag measurements allowed?

Soontobe60 · 17/05/2022 17:22

Also, whatever one you choose, if you use compression packing cubes, you’ll get loads more in your bag!

MikeWozniaksMohawk · 17/05/2022 17:23

CabinZero!! We’ve had ours for years and they are brilliant!

bumblingbovine49 · 17/05/2022 17:36
