Hlep Cheap room in London this Fri (& pref Sat too)

Argh. Panicking...
Need to be in London (from Scotland) suddenly this Fri (& pref Sat)
Sudden as family bereavement.
Can anyone suggest cheaest place (Premier Inn is booked out!!)
Me, 1 x 17 y/o Ds, 1 x 14 y/o Dd.

💐What London station will you be arriving to (assuming train), and where do you need to get to for funeral etc?

I've just searched and Old Street, Aldgate and Paddington Premier Inns have availability for those 2 nights.

Travelodge Docklands £80 family room on Friday. Much more expensive on Saturday, though.

Someone once told me that Canary Wharf is good for weekends (because always busy with business travellers through the week but quiet on weekends). Not sure if that holds true post pandemic though!

It looks like the problem is with Family Rooms. If you book two double rooms then some availability is showing. You would probably have to share with your daughter.

I've used the Travelodge at Hackney and Walthamstow for family - both have family rooms available. They're right next to well connected stations (Hackney Downs / Hackney Central and Walthamstow Central), so although not central London should serve you well unless you need to be west.

Premier Inn Stratford. You can get there on overland fast from kgx. £110 for Friday night, £173 for Saturday. Family Room. Stratford's well connected so you'll be able to get around London ok from there.

Travelodge Croydon Central has availability, from £185

got a room for the friday at least.
