Just nearly cried watching 'Old Enough!'

Just seen on Netflix, first episode is only 5 mins long, a feel good Japanese show about tiny kids going out on their own (safe world!) doing errands and the camera's following. It's not only meltingly adorable, but it made me feel so sad that we can't do this in the west. How lovely to feel so safe in your world.

His mum made him a little flag to hold up when he needed to cross the road.

Honestly, just check it out they're only shorts.

I remember this from years ago! Is it an old programme that you’re watching? If not must be new version.

I saw one with a little boy, about 5 or 6 taking his little sister who was about 3 somewhere. It involved city centre travel and getting on a ferry!

Nah I don't think we need to be sad for not allowing our 5 & 3 year olds to take public transport alone. It's fine for them to grow in their own time and just be kids when they are small.

I think it's sad that we don't feel as safe. That's fair enough :)

I don't think it's about it being unsafe, i about allows children to emotionally develop at their own pace.
