Oven kaput - no oven dinner ideas please!

Rented house, oven not working since Thursday last week. LL will take ages to fix or replace IME, so any hob dinner ideas welcome!

We had jackets pots scrubbed and ready when it broke which we realised when we put it on. so did microwaved ones, took ages to do 6 large ones and not great so won’t be doing that again. Don’t like microwaved food, only really use it to reheat dinners for a few mins if one of us out late.

We’ve done new pots with turkey and steamed veg, spag bol, sticky chicken with rice, and mash with sausages in a sprayed frying pan.

Will do chilli tomorrow, new pots, salad and some kind of meat on Tuesday.

Any more ideas?

Stews or casseroles - just do long and slow
Tuna pasta

Fajitas? Fry chicken pieces up with onion and peppers and spices, use microwave for wraps, chop salad bits.

Cod wrapped in Parma ham with lemony crushed potatoes and spinach/green veg

Chipolata sausages and spiced (green or brown) lentils with carrot

Prawn and chorizo jambalaya

If you had a slow cooker you could do whole chicken or one pot roast beef with potatoes & veg.

There’s often slow cookers available free/cheap on Facebook marketplace. My oven has just broken and I bought an air fryer for stuff like oven chips. Depends on your budget though - I think Aldi had one the other week for about £50.

apologies if this reply is a bit “let them eat cake”

Ooh also! Potato waffles can be done in a toaster. Revelation.

Boil your favourite pasta,
Add in peas 4 mins from end
Drain, add in chopped, cooked chicken or ham.
Grate over some cheese.
If it's Saturday, we swirl through some cream too
