FB marketplace - sending a courier

Another marketplace question... I've got a message from someone saying they want the item but can't collect as working, but could send a carrier with cash. Is this for real? Sounds dodge, anyone else had this and followed through with it??

Yeah that's definitely a scam, sadly - block them!

Scam! Had loads of these.

Definitely a scam. I had that when I was selling something you wouldn't buy without looking at and trying it was so obviously a scam

Dinoteeth · 16/05/2022 16:40

Sounds dodgy, ask them to forward the cash by bank transfer. The chances are you won't hear back from them

Mama427 · 16/05/2022 16:40

Thought so, thanks

Yeah huge scam. Well done being suspicious!

TokyoSushi · 16/05/2022 16:43

No no no!

Also had "I really like this product, is it like this one ...insert random link, which I will not click... If it is I want to buy it" so annoying 🤦‍♀️

I have bought using a courier. As long as it's cash in your hand on exchange then it's fine

Had this several times - often if you check out who the buyer is they're in another country so likely had their account hacked/cloned. Report, block & delete.
