Do you ever accept your supermarket delivery in your pjs?

I had a shower about an hour ago and got in my pjs. Then remembered I have a Tesco delivery booked between 8 and 9 so got dressed again!
Now I'm wondering if that was necessary and whether people regularly get their shopping delivery in their pjs? That's it really interested to know if you want to share... 🙂

I used to all the time as I had the 10pm slot, then one day I booked an earlier slot as that was all they had and I remarked to the poor driver - bet you didn't recognise me with my clothes on eh!

I swapped supermarket after that!

Pj's is the least of their issues!!! Really, you're fine.

Yup, though I tend to put a jumper on over the top rather than my dressing gown as that just gets in the way.

This. I often get a late delivery and will have my pjs with a hoodie over the top. Seems better than a dressing gown 🤣

I dont think ive ever had anything BUT pjs on for a home delivery!
usually no bra
no pants on to hermes guy several times ( behind the door haha)
i think i was breast feeding once and i think my boob was just out ,under my top
oh well...

I draw the line at my open back pj tops, but I will accept deliveries in normal pjs.

But I'm also one of those people who won't necessarily get dressed into day clothes if I'm popping to a shop. So, take my vote with a pinch of salt.

All the time 😂

TheVanguardSix · 15/05/2022 22:31

Oh god yeah. They get my coffee/morning breath and all.
Those poor souls. I am that annoying neighbour who frequently books the crack of dawn delivery and answers the door in my dressing gown with my horrible varicose veiny sticks for legs poking out. Those poor drivers.
I imagine they've got the same fortitude as A&E doctors. They're immune to shock.

NRRK28 · 15/05/2022 22:35

No. When i wake up first thing i do is change my clothes with jogger or trouser and tshirt, brush my teeth and wear simple makeup. I have 2 boys and need to do school run. I basically in my trouser and tshirt all day. So i accept delivery in those clothes. I only chang to pjs at nightime before going to sleep.

All the time

No But I do get my DH to answer the door

Magicandspiders · 15/05/2022 22:45

All the time. One of the perks of online shopping!

Salamander91 · 15/05/2022 22:45

I usually have my delivery mid morning so I'm always dressed but if I had a slot early morning or late evening I would wear my pjs. I doubt the delivery driver would bat an eyelid

allboysherebutme · 15/05/2022 22:53

Answer in my pjs, always long bottoms and round neck top though, would not answer in low cut stuff. X

Punkypinky · 15/05/2022 22:57

Thanks all. Fairly unanimous. I'm wondering now if they think I'm odd for being dressed 😋

If the delivery comes after about 6pm when I haven't got to go back out then yes. No one has ever looked like they even noticed.

Cheesechips · 15/05/2022 23:03

Yes. Often braless too but high neck baggy nightwear so it's not noticeable.

WingingItSince1973 · 15/05/2022 23:14

Crumbs, my postie, delivery person etc have seen me just fallen out of bed to being full make up and dressed up. I always find myself apologising though when I answer door with bed hair and pjs. X

Nat6999 · 15/05/2022 23:45

I'm housebound & only get properly dressed on the rare occasions when I have to go out so yes many times.

motherofchihuahuas · 15/05/2022 23:46

Well that is the the point of delivery isn't it. So you can do what you want.
