How urgently should I get this skin thing looked at? Got a bit flustered over it.

Please humour me, I’ve got a little stressed out…

I’ve had a tiny patch of what I thought was dry skin on my leg for a couple of months, and I’ve just noticed it’s got a bit of pigment to it and it has got bigger. It’s light brown, with a small lump underneath.

I’ve literally this morning realised it might not be something benign, at a weekend where no one can take a look at it and I’m meant to be having a lovely night away with DH and now this is playing on my mind.

I have a private mole check appointment in a couple of weeks, so I’m wondering if this can wait until then or would it be better to try the crazy roulette of the 8am daily phone call to try to see a doctor sooner?

Horrible close up photo attached, hopefully.

It’s not something that I would worry about. Personally I’d wait for the mole check, but it seems you’re very worried about it. Definitely don’t let it ruin your night away.

@RockPaperScience maybe call your practice and explain to them what you have noticed and why you are worried. Ask if you would be able to email them a photo to show the doctor and then the doctor can decide whether you should be seen today?

If you are worried about something I never think you should suffer, best case scenario it's absolutely nothing but you always have the right to get it checked out!

I also hope you manage to have a lovely evening away!

Thank you both for replying. I’m just about to leave, I think I’m going to try to put it out of my mind for this weekend and then take the approach of calling the doctor and asking to send a photo (a better one than I attached here!)

I had a bit of an early morning colly wobbly when it occurred it wasn’t just a bit of dry skin.
