NHS Band 6 notice period?

I can’t find my contract and have tried Googling but found differing results.

anyone know how long a notice period you have to work if leaving an NHS band 6 role? Been working in the role for about 7 years.

It's different in different trusts. Likely to be either 4 or 8 weeks. Call your HR dept to check x

I didn't realise it could vary but I know it is definitely 8 weeks in my trust and I would have assumed that was standard. I'd say you'd be lucky if it's 4 weeks, but definitely check with HR on Monday. Maybe look at ESR and see if you can see anything on there.

In my trust it's 8 weeks or 12 weeks, depending on how long you've been there (older contracts would be 8 weeks). Certainly unlikely to be 4 weeks.

Thanks all. A colleague who has been there 20 years has a contract that says 4 weeks. But I guess mine might be different as I’ve not been there as long.

I'd be surprised if it's less than 4 weeks.
