Bloody Tesco’s

Is anyone having trouble with Tesco’s recently?! I’m so annoyed I booked a slot for 1-2 and I’ve checked it now and it tells me it’s running over an hour late?! And won’t be here till 3.10-3.39, I will be on the school run then 🤬 So I’m going to have to cancel my whole flipping shop over £100 and won’t get a refund for a few days now so won’t be able to do another till I do! They are taking the absolute piss my last shop was 2 hours early!

Could you ask another parent to drop your children off for you? I'd happily help other patents in these circumstances?

Don't cancel it, they need to sort it. Drop later.

Nope sadly no one to collect them. I’m so annoyed it’s not even 10 mins later but over an hour

I wouldn't cancel it

Leave a note on your door if safe to do so with the time you'll be back.

It might come when your home anyway. If you're out they'll just cancel it and refund you

Don't cancel it. If you have time before school run, is there a telephone number . phone so they can ask driver to delay until 4pm?

If not, leave a note on door asking them to come back later. They haven't been able to keep to their side of the deal (in all fairness delay could be out of their control,ie puncture, broken down vehicle), so need to accommodate you.

How long does the school run take?
I would try not to cancel it if at all possible.
I have had the same problem with Asda and Morrisons too. In fact the only delivery service that seems to be consistently on time is Ocado and I simply cannot afford to shop from them!

I have found it way more convenient to click and collect from Asda - I do a drive through once a week and can pop into the shop if I have forgotten something or they have made a dud substitute. Yes, I have to go to the shop but this only takes me 45 minutes comparted to waiting around for the 2 hour delivery window and an untold amount of time after when they are running late.

Of course, I appreciate that this option is not more convenient for everyone but thought I would share on the off chance.

@PumpkinsandKittens - what happened?

You could have just rung them and they might have been able to fit it on a later van
