Where did my mojo go?

It's gone.

I just can't be bothered. I'm not sad, feels more like meh. It's not a temporary thing, definitely feels like I've felt like this for a few years (pre pandemic too).

Where did it go?

How did you get your mojo back?
I need to find mine.

I think I left mine on a bus in 2007.

Could it be depression, peri menopause, unsatisfying work life, ongoing health issues? All of the above have robbed my of my mojo at times.

I hope you find yours. Actively noticing when I was happy (however fleetingly) helped me a lot. To some degree happiness is a habit. Exercise can have a huge impact on mood and energy levels too. (I know, I hate myself for saying it but it’s true)

I feel you OP
I have felt like something is missing for the last 5 years

Lightning020 · 12/05/2022 13:21

I definitely have my mojo back now I am post menopausal. It is the healthiest I have felt for a very long time. I do take a lot of vitamins and supplements though and have practically turned vegetarian except for fish ham and the odd bit of chicken.

Rarely drink plus plenty of early nights and lots of water. I have also cut down on caffeine. I definitely felt drained and that life was quite pointless during my awful perimenopausal years.

SallyWD · 12/05/2022 13:26

Could it be perimenopause? I'm 47 and have been feeling pretty flat for a while.

MsChrista · 12/05/2022 13:34

I lost mine in January 2021

TooManyPJs · 12/05/2022 13:41

Perimenopause. My mojo has also got up and gone.

herecomesyour19thnervousbreakdown · 12/05/2022 13:44

I have given up booze and caffeine and still feel meh

JollyWilloughby · 12/05/2022 13:48

Mine fucked off in 2018 when I had the pleasure of working in a secondary school and amongst covid I haven’t managed to find it since.

I will though. I do have hope, but it is taking a while.

I think it's nature's way of telling us the world has no use for us any more and we just need to curl up and die quietly in the corner....or retire. I am well up for retiring now.

Mine is slowing coming back as I am in peri-menopause and have felt absolute crap for years. Started hrt few mths ago and brain fog has lifted and slowly started to get some sleep after years of not been able to fall asleep and everything an effort and the could not be bothered feeling. Loving the comment from Spiderversed about leaving hers on the bus. You and me both. Sometimes I wish I could be that 20 something young woman again living on the greek island and so carefree, worked 7 days a week and so much energy, swimming at 3am after work and riding my moped. Seems like another life time ago.

I don't think I'm peri menopausal (but it doesn't mean it isn't it)! I had a Google and didn't seem to have any of the symptoms, but it doesn't rule it out! So will do some investigating!

I did do some exercise during lunch, my mojo wasn't underneath the dust and barbells but dancing to gangster rap and heavy metal did brush off some of the cobwebs on my body between exercises.
(I know I need to be consistent with exercise to see a difference to my mood long term, so I am trying to integrate that).

I'm so sorry so many of you are going through the same feeling and mojo loss, it really is crap feeling so meh. Maybe we should call a search party?! File a missing person's report?
