Keen to know if you have experience of using these lenses with your children, any downsides you experienced? Anyone know differences in cost etc? Thanks

My 2 sons both wear mi sight contact lenses. They find them very comfortable and have been effective so far. I have read that the ortho k can be very effective too. 1 slight advantage that the mi sight have over ortho k is that they are disposable & don't require any cleaning. However, I understand that the ortho k have been around much longer than mi sight so have a longer history of proven effectiveness. We find the mi sight very convenient to use overall although can't be worn for swimming. I am not sure about price differences between the ortho k and mi sight. We live in NI & only a limited number of opticians here seem to supply the ortho k.

I used Ortho K for years, loved it in the sense my vision was perfect (or much improved!) and no need for glasses. The other thing I really liked is that your vision deteriorated gradually rather than the sudden blurryness when you take glasses off (hope that makes sense!)

It was quite expensive but if I am honest it was the cleaning int the end that put me off. I just got so lazy.

Thank you both, I've made an appointment to discuss with the optician, am tempted by the convenience of dailies...
