What’s your housework music?

Started doing a bit of cleaning and polishing, not my favourite occupation, so put on Gloria Estefan’s ‘Destiny’ album. It’s my ‘goto’ (hate this phrase) housework music.

i’m sure I’m not the only one who has a favourite cd for housework.

Depends if I'm pissed off or not. Angry cleaning is definitely therapeutic, needs to be accompanied by some heavy rock/metal. Otherwise I like a classic rock for general daily housework.

I just stick on Kisstory or Heart Dance on the radio. Love it!

I listen to audiobooks, Christopher Fowler's "Full Dark House".

When ironing I watch a well-worn film I don't have to concentrate on. A favourite is "Live Free or Die Hard", a film whose title makes no sense, but there you go.

I’m with you on easy films for ironing. I’ve just discovered a Danielle Steele season on a movie channel or one of the lesser channels. Recorded them and been watching them. Alternatively, an afternoon Hallmark psychopathic ex/neighbour/boyfriend /baby stealing/stalker film is another easy watch.

I love silence when I clean.
Pure, blissful silence.

I like podcasts - working my way through British Scandal at the moment.

Slightly cheesy old school rock music, like 'welcome to the jungle'. And I bogle along. I tried podcasts and learning a language, but my brain can't focus on two things at once.

Another one bites the dust.

Just reading this filled me with dread! I loathe cleaning anyway, but the thought of having to do it without any form of entertainment chills me to the bone.

I like audio books or Radio 4 comedy shows.

Rage Against the Machine is my current go-to music

I listen to audio books when cleaning. Just cleaned the kitchen to Helen Fields.

BBC sounds have 30/60min play lists so I generally have a quick flick through and pick one..
Often Craig Charles funk show or some dance for energy otherwise anything that catches my eye/mood ..
I get to hear music i don't necessarily know ....... sometimes more sing along ..
