My 10 month girl has had a fever since Friday. I took her to A&E on Sunday where she had cloudy urine and they prescribed antibiotics and sent us home.
We went back to A&E on Monday as she started vomiting and still had a fever so 111 told us to go back in. She was fine on Monday, her fever had come down and was eating little bits.
Yesterday she was fine all day, temp back down to 36.4, not eating solids but breastfeeding fine and being playful but she started developing some sort of rash on her chest. My DS has had post viral rashes which looked similar so as she was fine I assumed it was this.
cue this morning - she vomited her milk feed at 4am and has been crying on and off all night. She has a temp on 38.7 and her rash is still there.
111 have arranged a telephone GP appointment for 11am but is this normal?! Does this need more urgent assessment?
We waiting for 7 hours in A&E on Monday which was just awful for her as she was so upset and I don’t want to have to go through the same thing again if this is normal and they send us back home.
she’s been on antibiotics since Sunday so I would have hoped she would be better by now
