Council tax rebate more than advertised

Happy days but I'm wondering if anyone else got more than £150? I got £165 paid into my bank account today from the council. Only £15 extra but very welcome.

Maybe it's just my council.

I seem to have a little more and it’s not showing on my list of payments either, so I’m just guessing it’s from the council?

My mum got £185 from the council even though she wasn't entitled to the rebate. My council must be using the money they have saved on bin collections over the past 2 years.

Yes. The council have been very good during the pandemic with vouchers continuing for the school holidays as my dc get free school meals. I think Easter was the last time they were going to be issued. Free holidays clubs sessions to in the more deprived areas. The bin collections have been hit and miss but they have looked after us well I think.
