I have ‘intimate’ chafing and TMI question

And it’s sooooo sore. But it’s not from sex, it’s like right at the very, very top of my thighs has rubbed together.

I have a full on bush at the moment. Are the pubes making it worse??. It’s so sore what can I put on it. I’ve ordered chub rub shorts but it feels too high up for that. The skin has like welts in it. Help!

Try some liquid talc (from Asda) or chamois cream. Or lanacane do anti chafe gel

HSKAT · 09/05/2022 22:51

Lanacane
Canescool do a soothing gel
Liquid talc

Aye right... but how long are your pubes to reach down far enough to get trapped between your thighs?

Assuming this is genuine... look at Big Bloomers anti chaff pants. They come up on google quite easily.

GreySquirrrel · 09/05/2022 22:53

sudocreme

Deedeedocket · 09/05/2022 22:54

It’s right at the top of my thighs! In the crease where my nethers begin. This is genuine and it’s bloody agony.

Cover with sudocream overnight
M and S do great anti chaff shorts

RaininSummer · 09/05/2022 23:00

Were you knickers too tight and cutting in maybe?

genome · 09/05/2022 23:04

Jock itch? The cream for athletes foot will help if so.

TheVillageShop · 09/05/2022 23:22

Could well be fungal rash. Try Canestan thrush cream.

Sounds like it, try sudocreme

Threetulips · 09/05/2022 23:27

Do you wear the body tops? They used to cause mayor rub!

sudacrem and some air - get your pants off woman!

BeanAnTae · 10/05/2022 00:19

I wonder if it's hidradenitis suppurativa OP, that can happen there as well as underarms

StarlightLady · 10/05/2022 06:23

It's summer. Try long skirt and no knickers for a week or so.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 10/05/2022 06:35

i think the full bush would not be detrimental

KangarooKenny · 10/05/2022 06:42

I trim my bush down to a number 2, or the hairs start rubbing together and pulling.
And Asda liquid talc from the baby section for chafing.

alltheteeshirts · 10/05/2022 06:45

DO NOT TRY LIQUID TALC IF YOU'RE ALREADY IN PAIN.

Sudocrem, and airing your bits at home is the way forward as you recover. Once you're fully recovered, liquid talc can help prevent a reoccurrence. Otherwise, it's going to sting like hell.

picklemewalnuts · 10/05/2022 06:47

I react there to knicker elastic. Could it be that?

WandaWomblesaurus · 10/05/2022 07:06

Also get the GP to take a wee look - if it's a rash it may need something else?
