I want more from life!

I’m only in my late twenties, life is good, I’m getting married soon and I have young DC. But I want to be doing more with my life. I do boring part time admin, I’ve drifted from admin job to admin job for years and I want to do something totally new that actually interests me, I have no clue what! I live surrounded by beaches and we’re going to try and be more of an active family and start kayaking and enjoying where we live. Has anyone ever felt like this? What did you do? Inspire me!

What did you enjoy doing most when you were 8 years old?

Writing! Though I’m not sure I can become a world renowned author unfortunately, I wish!

A job is there to pay your bills, and to pay for your fun. Don’t worry about what you do, just enjoy yourself out of work.

I'm 38 and drifted into being really active, very slowly and without planning, over the course of about a decade.
I'd always marched all over the city we lived in because I didnt own a car. And I commuted to work by bike for 5 years. Then 12 years ago we got a dog and had to purposefully walk him every day. Then we started to explore new and interesting walks in our local area. Then we started driving further afield at weekends to complete famous circular walks. Then we got a campervan and started walking sections of the SW coastal path. Then we moved to a small market town in a national park and started hiking. Short hikes turned into long hikes, which turned into road cycling too, and mountain biking and trail running and wild swimming. A passion for the outdoors means I'll do anything to spend time outside.
We're currently on holiday in the Highlands and planning to walk up Ben Nevis later this week when the weather clears up!
My advice to you OP would be - just do SOMETHING. So many people don't. How will you 'start kayaking'? Is booking a kayaking taster session your first step and, if so, what are you waiting for?

How about copywriting or content writing then?

I will look into it, that could be a good idea! I start to write a lot of stories on my laptop but never finish them. I always say one day I will get one published as an e-book (by myself obviously) but never do..
