@MinglingFlamingo Today was a bit of an anomaly as NYT changed the wordle due to fact it was very topical and may cause upset/offence. Those who didn't refresh their browser got the original word (which had an American spelling) and those who did refresh got the new word.

Yes, I got the US spelt word. My mum had the updated one and it took her six due to the number of options she had.

To be fair, it's not just the American spelling. It's the spelling that is advised in NICE guidelines and used in the BMJ.
