Never been before, heading for the weekend with DP at the end of May.

We are massive foodies and love to do fun things. Please could you hit me up with your favourite restaurants and things to do?

@Potterbore The Dry Dock!! OMG, forgot about there - you've just brought my student days screaming back!
Apple jack sour shots and getting very drunk before taxis home lol

noscoobydoodle · 08/05/2022 20:42

Oh and of course finishing the night off at call lane

bjjgirl · 08/05/2022 20:42

Gin journey (but it gets very messy) lot and lot of gin

Potterbore · 08/05/2022 20:45

@GoodJanetBadJanet we met with friends who live in Leeds. The DryDock was a must do apparently.

So many great places in Leeds for food but we love La Taberna (tapas) and Teppanyaki. Chow down is great for afternoon drinks on a nice day especially if they have live music on and we like Domino club and The Maven for drinks at night.

Another vote for Bundobust - it's soooo good!

And cocktails at The Maven (although you have to know where you're looking- it's a speakeasy!)

I think the Armouries is incredibly boring (sorry!).

The Art Gallery is quite good and the Tiled Hall Cafe inside it is nice.

Tropical World is quite far from the city centre and I'd say more aimed at kids.

We like Viva Cuba which is a tapas place about 2 miles from the city centre.

We also like Thai Aroy Dee for Thai food - it's very cheap and cheerful

If you go to the Royal Armories, you can catch a water bus along the canal from near the train station to the armories and back. I think it runs every 20 mins, is very cheap and it is a fab way to see the city in a different way.

Bryan's hasn't been called Bryan's for about 10 years. It's now called Catch. Lovely fish and chips and seafood dishes.

Blue Sakura is good - Japanese food all you can eat but you order on an I pad and it's cooked fresh and brought out within minutes think there's are about 90 dishes to choose from , lovely surroundings and cocktails too
