I have never thought about it, I just say I'm single. If anyone probed further, I'm quite happy to say "divorced many years ago, happily single since".

Someone I met recently referred to themselves as 'self partnered' which I took to mean single?!

The English language needs a new word! Self partnered is the closest but sounds... well doesn't have the ring of 'happily single'.

Single is bliss so why not say you are 'blissfully single'. Lol.
