Wedding gift inspiration.

My friend is getting married in July but not going on a honeymoon (with a 6 year old) until December and I was thinking about getting some gifts they could open to countdown the time before they get away, as they have everything they need and there isn’t a gift list (no dodgy poem or request for cash either!). Any suggestions? Would wrapping 6 gifts, opening one a month, be naff?

Depends what they are I guess? I’d think it a bit childish myself but depends what they like!

Sounds a bit much tbh

What about one of those cool new-ish Polaroid cameras. They cold in pretty colours and with a retro case. Could be brought on the trip but also used sporadically. Depending on your budget you could get some extra rolls of film for them

How about some currency for wherever they are going?

HelpfulAlex · 08/05/2022 20:05

You could get a cheeky token gift for now and once you know where they’re going, give them currency or something relevant nearer the time.

You're sweet to think of this

PortalooSunset · 08/05/2022 20:29

I think that's really thoughtful. Do you know where they're going so you can base your gifts around that?
One of our favourite unexpected gifts was a bottle of mead: www.aromanticsperspective.com/the-original-honey-moon-started-with-honey-wine-mead-fun-facts-and-tasting-notes/

I think it's a lovely idea.
Where are they going

How about some personalized gifts, maybe something like a personalized drawing? About a month ago, I got a funny caricature from the guys from CaricatureMaster, and it turned out great. You can try it, they also have printing options.
