Flyaways help! How can I stop them from sticking up / out? Very fine hair. Photo attached

I don't straighten my hair very often, I've tried lots of expensive products for dry hair but then I get scabs on my scalp so i am stuck using Head and Shoulders.

I've always had hair like this though.
What can I do? They look worse than usual today!

Hair serum/oil gently run over your hair on the palm of your hands?

Elnett hairspray works for me. After straightening I spray it on them immediately smooth the little hairs down and they stay stuck down

I'm excited to give these a go!
Why does this happen? Is it new hair or broken hairs or both?

I had a dream last night that I pulled all the flyaways out. Was satisfying!

Serums and oils have never worked for mine.
The only ‘cure’ I’ve found is a tiny amount of hairspray on a spoolie (I just use an old mascara wand). Not too much, you don’t want crunchy roots! My favourite is the got2be Glued.

I'd heard that running over flyaway hairs with a tumble drier sheet works wonders. I GHD the shit out of my hair daily now so I've not had flyaways for a while.
Might be worth a shot?
