I'm just enjoying my first brew of the day; I'm watching the caterpillars that arrived yesterday, and have the kitchen window open so I can hear the birds singing away. Lovely & peaceful!

The washer's on it's first of two loads to be done, last night's pots are waiting to be washed (Friday is bear minimum night here) and the upstairs floors need hoovering. Other than that there's not much housework to do.

I think we're heading back to the Oriental supermarket we found last week, and the market. Both girls want to do some more kitchen experimenting. Dd2 wants to attempt boba & I think they're the only place in town that will sell agar powder, and dd1 wants to try making traditional mochi.

Later on; I'll show the girls what the caterpillars eat from the garden & hopefully get a few more rounds of dinosaur crocheted. I'll probably watch more "caterpillar tv", as dd1 has been calling it, they're fascinating! 🤣

Dd2 has homework so I expect she'll start that, and dd1 will carry on with her coursework for her Drama GCSE.

Not a clue what's for tea yet - I'll decide before we head out 🤷‍♀️

What about you lot? 🙂

Spending yet another depressing weekend clearing out my dead Mum’s flat. Thank god my PILs are taking the DC for us as trying to do it with a toddler and a screamy baby in tow is nigh on impossible.

I've had a wander to out Artisan market. I had a pastel de nata I belatedly realised was so good I should have married it.

Sitting in on my daughters violin lesson. Playing amazing and come such a long way since started playing 8 yrs ago. Might go for drinks tonight for colleague who recently left our work, but tired. Had to get up at 05:30 to drive partner to airport. Be rude not to go though and know i’ll have fun (? too much fun) when I get there. Keep telling myself need to drink less… Prob will read and have a walk rest of the day, to make up for hard week at work.

lucysmam I’m hijacking your Sat thread into Sunday !
In bed last night for 9.20 pm and woke only once as heard DS 1 coming in at 0215(early for him) so feel refreshed and ready to go. One load of washing already done and about to hang out, dull here but mild, hopefully it’ll brighten up later on. The back garden is needing a bit more of a spruce up and some pots to finish. Dog will get 2 walks today, DD needs mum taxi service to work at 2pm and DS wants some driving practice so that’ll be this afternoon taken care of. Dinner know idea yet, have chicken thighs in fridge so will use them in some concoction. Will def watch Gentleman Jack with DH tonight and no doubt have a wine too.

Mother’s Day here today!

Took my daughter to work at 6am them back to bed for a bit.
Did a few chores and walked the dog.
picked up DD from work and with my older daughter, we went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch.
it’s a beautiful 28 degrees here today.
Now have a rest , watching tv and eating Roses chocolates.

@embolass I think I should have done the same 🙈 I swiped a MN email while I was typing my OP for today & that went a bit awry formatting-wise 🤣

Anyway; I've painted four peg people to go with The Enormous Turnip. Washing & nip to Asda to do. And sorting dd2's praying mantis' house. Need to plant some sunflowers outside too.

Dd1 has coursework to carry on with & dd2 maths homework. I want to fit some crochet in somewhere today too 🤔

Roast chicken for tea, possibly followed by strawberries and ice cream again 😋

If we get round to it; both girls wanted to try making fruit bubble tea again 🧋

Morning @lucysmam

How are the caterpillars?

I was going to go for a swim this morning but relaxed instead, just having avacodo on toast now with a coffee. DH and children upstairs having a book sort out.

Just having a tidying morning this morning them hopefully get in the garden this afternoon I want to sort out the dumping ground greenhouse and get a few things potted on.

Roast gammon for dinner, gammon is in the slow cooker at the moment.

Early night tonight as am very tired!

@AngeloMysterioso - I'm sorry about your mum. I've recently lost both my parents and it is so hard clearing out the house. The people you have loved for so long in boxes & bags. ❤️
