Life after life

Sorry if there’s a big thread about this but has anyone watched life after life on bbc?

I read the book years ago and it’s amazing .

if you have I just wondered what slight changes on your life would impact on now ( I know the premise of the book is more complicated )

for me, it’s scary blokes in Manchester I avoided because I was sober whilst being heavily pregnant as we crossed the road. Also driving back from Leeds when 20 weeks and narrowly avoided a crash.

also what would you change . Sometimes I feel that I’m the perfect version ( sorry not stealth boast) as I’m from a working class family in a very socially deprived bit of England , who’s life could have been very different if circumstances were different.

no idea if this makes sense.

I read the book a few years back too
It was amazing and I'm about to re read it. The series is incredibly good and true to the book. I'm not clear on what you're asking though. Is it situations you think you've avoided by chance/fate and things that could have changed your life if you'd taken a different path?

She still couldn't save Teddy though 😥

I finished watching this last night, I loved the book and I thought the series was very good. I found the ending of the series unsatisfactory tough and I can’t remember how the book ended, so I might have to reread. A difficult plot to end though! Have you read A God In Ruins? It’s about Ted’s life, also very thought provoking.

If I had to keep living my life over and over again there are things I’d change for sure but then I’d desperately want to still meet my DH and conceive at the exact same time to get my DDs and what would be the chances of it being the same sperm…. Agh! It would be very distressing so I really hope it doesn’t happen!

Sorry op, hope you don't mind me hopping on your thread to ask some questions about the show!

For people who've read the book - was there ever an explanation for things that were different that she wasn't in control of, like the manor in which her life was saved when she was born (and the relevance of the doctor leaving on horse/staying until the next morning) or the change in her German boyfriend's political stance?
