Hoover Junior and Senior vacuum cleaners.

Did your household have either of these in the 1970s or '80s ? Do you still have one now ? We had one of each at various times and I remember both lasting for years and years, needing very little maintenance apart from a new rubber belt every now and then plus a good supply of disposable dust bags. If they're still well-regarded, I might buy one if and when I move into a bigger house.

Our Senior was a pale green, with a strip light on the front that never worked and a bag that inflated to ridiculous proportions when the vac was switched on. The Junior had no light but did come with 'tools'.

I had a Hoover senior up to 2003 😂 It was a proper little workhorse that I bought second (third/fourth?) hand. I replaced it with a Dyson when I had a crawling baby but tbh so wish I’d kept it. I’ve since gone through Dyson, Henry, Meile and Shark and none have been as good as my trusty Hoover Senior.

Built to last and quite expensive on the used market. Must be good.
