Does anyone else have this? How did you stop it from happening?

I live in a flat, there are four of them and the other three are empty atm. Lived here for four years. We all have seperate outside bins each. One lady died and someone stole hers, the other two left theirs full of rubbish before they left and they refuse to empty them if they are left out.

Since moving in I started noticing when I went outside there was rubbish in mine, maybe one black bag, I don't mind that generally as long as I have enough room for my own stuff. It has now escelated to someone completely filling my bin to the point there isn't even room for a carrier bag of my own rubbish.

Example, Bin emptied two weeks ago, I went out to put something in it and it was packed full with four blag bags and random bottles, used nappies, macdonalds wrappers, plastic etc, and they also decided to throw two full bags over my fence, So now I have 6 bags of mixed rubbish that isn't even mine with zero room for any of my own, they now won't empty my bin either, Also, I'm scared of getting a fine.

Just been out to put some cardboard out and the cardboard bin is full of garden waste, soil, used nappies and empty glass bottles etc
I put numbers on my bin, Still happened, I then got a bin lock and they ripped it off. I am now waiting for a doorbell camera to arrive because I can no longer cope with never being able to put anything at all into my bin. I also don't drive and am disabled so it's not easy at all for me to get to the dump which is about 20 miles away. It's got to the point I am storing a few bags of rubbish in my flat because there's nowhere else for it. Not helping that all the rubbish is mixed, I don't fancy going through soil and used nappies to sort it all out.

Once the doorcam goes on, If I do catch who is doing it, realistically what can I do about it, if anything? Already emailed the council telling them and they told me to just keep my bins in the back garden, ignoring the fact I already told them if I keep them round the back they just jump my fence or throw bags over it.

You need to ring your local council and explain the problem. They should sort this out for you.

That’s awful. Definitely put the bin lock back on. Maybe get a CCTV sticker to put on it too.
