I’m getting so confused seeing all these passport rules and people not being able to fly!

so we fly to Majorca 23rd June return flight is 3rd July.

passport issued on 23rd may 2013 and passport expiry is 23rd may 2023

It's if you renewed early and had extra days added so yours will be fine as it's 10 years exactly.

Duvetdweller · 05/05/2022 15:23

Yes you’re fine - it’s been confusing when the months have been added on meaning the expiry date on the passport is more than 10 years from the issue date. Enjoy your trip 😁

DrBrennerFan · 05/05/2022 15:24

Yes it’s next year it next year so when you get back check how long you before you renew again. I let mine go for years got mine now for pension payout and Id purposes oh yes remember on nhs web app for covid pass it’s the hard page you photograph not the first as I made that mistake twice.

Issued less than 10 years ago and 1 year left in valdity so I'd say that's ok.

It's so confusing though! Especially that Ryanair news article the other day that said a person was refused boarding because some countries now require 9 months validity not 6!

Thanks everyone!

also just noticed my
passport has two tiny little holes on the top of the page. Nothing else is damaged though. Will this be a problem does anyone know.

Someone please tell me I can travel on this passport!!!

It looks like it's had something stapled to it. I can't see why it would be a problem, it's not anywhere important.

CrappySag · 05/05/2022 16:58

The date is fine and so is the damage (I work at passport control).
