Party on Saturday for my 6 year old. Lots of kids and parents coming and I need a playlist. I'm staring a Spotify and completely blank.

I want more dancey songs than disney if that makes sense.

Suggestions above are great, if you know any parents of children in dance classes ask them too because their might be songs they are already dancing to. Definitely get a Spotify (or whatever music streaming service) list going. My DC1 is 5 and has had one for 2/3 years already. It's entertaining stuff!!

I would say songs from sing and encanto will go down a treat. Mine also likes some random songs from stereophonics, maroon 5 and spice girls. But I think a mix of music from films and some current music that’s kid appropriate like Ed Sheehan and Taylor swift will be great. Oh mine also likes Justin bieber too and the greatest showman songs

Mine loves the my little pony equestria girls songs, which are mostly up beat and dancy. Also the Bluey 'dance mode' song, but not sure if that's on Spotify...

My children like all sorts of music but when they are with thier cousins they all go mad for old town road and dance monkey. Enjoy the party

Echoing quite a few other songs on here. Quite common for songs on just dance to be popular with this age as lots of schools use them to get the kids moving in the morning, or on wet play.

My 5 year old likes Babymetal, Jedward, Katy Perry, Kate Bush (even I'm not sure how that happened 😂) and Pantera (I totally know how that happened).

I don't think any kids party is complete without Superman by black lace and a rousing rendition of Nellie The Elephant by the Toy Dolls. 😁
