I feel like I can't breathe, my husband became tetraplegic nearly a year ago and completely out of the blue. The house is being altered to get him home but I am a nervous wreck. I know it will be ok but I can't stop depression sinking in and I am worried about how we will all cope. I'm not sleeping, I'm not eating properly. The kids are healthy and fed, I'm not

Do you have a support system OP? Are there people who will help you with round the clock care or is it all on your shoulders ?

I'm sorry op, I'm not surprised you feel overwhelmed. Did you post about this before? (Not saying you shouldn't post multiple times just trying to connect the dots). Sending huge hugs 💐

Hugs to you. X

Hi, yeah I did post about 3 weeks ago or something.

They are still trying to source a care package for him, in the meantime the home he is in is awful and the house is a shit tip, but at least the amendments are going on. Even the cats look like they are covered in dust!

Sometimes I feel like I just can't breathe, god knows how DH is handling this, I don't think I could xx

I'm sorry op. I don't really have any advice other than to breathe, and to take each hour/day as it comes. Trite I know.

Can you get any counselling or anti depressants from the GP? And are there any FB groups for carers, or proper meet up groups in your area?

I wish I could say something more helpful. My DH is disabled (all be it in a less dramatic way) and it is HARD. 💐
