Evening guests - How much money?

Probably been asked a hundred times but haven't seen any fairly new threads on this.

Invited as an evening guest to a wedding of a distant family friend. Distant as in we don't see each other a lot however we've known both families for a very long time. They've asked on the invites for £ should we wish to give a gift... question is, how much is acceptable as an eve guest?

My two sisters are also invited to the evening and we've been considering £100 all in (split 3 ways between us) but is that stingy?

What has everyone else done in the past? TIA

Honestly I am planning my wedding and do not expect anything as a gift, especially from evening guests, if you want to give a gift I think your sisters idea is super
Generous

Thank you. That's really good of you to not expect anything! I just definitely can't turn up empty handed but unsure about the monetary gift size and what's acceptable for an eve guest.

You aren’t obliged to give a gift as an evening guest so £100 between you would be very generous. You could just get a bottle of champagne.

It depends completely on what you can afford.

I was going to say £25ish so £100 between three sounds a nice amount.
