Oh god, I’ve just shaved my eyebrow off

Now I’m in my forties I have started getting the odd unruly long hair and I was getting fed up with finding the nail scissors and trimming them.

So just now I dug out my bikini hair trimmer which also has an attachment for eyebrows. Put said attachment on, put it to my right eyebrow and then promptly realised that I am now completely missing the middle of my eyebrow.

Turns out, there’s a plastic guard thing I should have put on the trimmer first.

Now I look like a complete idiot 😭. How long do eyebrows take to grow back? And what can I use to make it look less daft in the meantime? I just tried using some ancient benefit gimme brow but that didn’t help too much as there’s no hair for it to stick on to.

I’m going to center parcs next week and will have to swim too…and have a wedding in 4 weeks (thankfully not mine).

HELP!!!

You can get eyebrow “stickers” that are a bit like temporary tattoos on Amazon. Will prob still look a bit odd up close but might help fill the gap in the meantime?

Oooops! Permanent marker?

OldEvilOwl · 04/05/2022 12:42

Eyebrow pencil to fill it in. Sorry OP but this did make me laugh

junglejane66 · 04/05/2022 12:44

Shave the other one to match?

totallyoutnumbered · 04/05/2022 12:44

Yikes 😳 Superdrug do tons of stuff to fill in what your missing. I've been told that castor oil is great for lash and eyebrow growth. Good luck 🤞🏻

Luckily DD is home and she happened to have an eyebrow pencil so at least I can leave the house now. I will check out the tattoo things, might come in handy for swimming at CP!

😆i would contact a reputable beautician and enquire about tinting/stencilling. You should be able to fill the gap, the trick will be in making it look uniform, which is where tinting might help.

Home kits are available!

I wouldn't recommend microblading or tattooing because you're in a pressured situation and won't have time to do proper research.

Also remember- you'll notice it much more than everyone else!

Did think about doing the other one to match, and brazen it out 😂

The eyebrow stickers can be really good, you might have to do the other one too to even it out though.
Or benefit do something called a brow microfilling pen which you could use to draw it back on that will look more like hair than just a flat colour

@Kat1953 I’m not really one for beauticians generally, and I’m a firm believer in eyebrows being something that work out of the box (really don’t understand the yoots and their bizarre eyebrow trends of today). They won’t make me look like that will they? 😬 I think you could be right though, this is a job for a professional I think.

@VeryGoodVeryNice hopefully not! I only get mine waxed because I'm blessed with naturally bushy brows but I chose my beautician because they had natural looking brows and no one was coming out looking like they'd been stamped with a crayola!

Maydaysoonenough · 04/05/2022 12:58

Pic or it didn't happen...

VeryGoodVeryNice · 04/05/2022 13:01

@Kat1953 that’s a brilliant description 😂.

@Maydaysoonenough I’ve just spent ages faffing around to make it look normal-ish but I’ll take a pic later when I’m back from work and I know I definitely don’t have to leave the house again 🤣
