Child Tax Credit payment today

Hi guys, I’ve been paid a child tax credit payment today, however it’s usually paid into my bank on a Friday.
It’s also £5 more than usual, I’m not sure if it’s an extra payment or Fridays paid early. I can’t seem to find any info online?!
Has anyone else had a payment today? I don’t want to touch the money!

It's probably money that's owed to you being paid back, it always happens after April. It will be right. Mine has gone up £98 a month.

I am due a slightly increased payment on Friday according to online account and was also wondering about this. On your online account did it say its due to a change next to the amount? Just wondering as I am waiting for my payments to increase anyway after letting them know my son receives DLA but the increase so I didn't know if this change was due to the DLA or because of last years earnings. So confusing!

Hi, not there didn’t seem to be anything indicating I’d be due any changes to the amount, however the amount has been up and down the past few weeks, give or take a few quid! Your right it is very confusing especially when you don’t know what’s what. Keep an eye on it and hopefully things will become more clear for you in time! 🙂
