We are picking a relative up from Gatwick Airport in a few weeks. As I've got a couple of days off work and it's a long trip down we thought we'd make a mini break of it and set off early saturday, spend 2 nights somewhere nice for a bit of sightseeing then head over to pick her up late afternoon Monday. We like pottering around nice historic towns, NT properties, walking in the countryside. Without kids so want to make the most if it. Any ideas ? Not bothered if it's near Gatwick or an hour or so away. Thanks in advance !
