Have I ruined my diet with a hot chocolate

I've been out to a coffee shops all weekend and only had tea , but just find tea so bland and not enjoyable without a cake or biscuit . I'm not a coffee fan. So today I had a trip to the garden Centre with DC and had a hot chocolate, it was pretty small and quite weak really. Just wondered how bad it was. I assume coffee places use semi skimmed milk as standard ?

To be honest I have recently, put back on the last kg I lost without even breaking my diet apart from one bag of pomme bears. I ate of Dc's because I had the shakes 🫤 It's so disheartening, so the hot chocolate was a bad choice.

You really need to consider why one weak hot chocolate has seemingly sent you into this spiral about your diet. Even a full weekend of binging won’t make you gain back all the weight unless you’ve lost it all in a crash diet of two weeks. This level of obsession is not healthy.

Not at all. You need to look at your diet as a whole. One hot chocolate isn't going to ruin anything if you otherwise have a healthy balanced diet and exercise. It is possible to diet and still have the occasional treat. Please also don't feel like you need to skip a meal or starve yourself now that you've had that hot chocolate. It really is OK. Likewise, don't think that now you've "broken" the diet you can also eat a full packet of biscuits. 😀just keep going as you were before and don't give that hot chocolate any head space. It will really not make any difference in the grand scheme of things. And remember to be kind to yourself. ❤

One hot chocolate probably improved your diet if you enjoyed it - what's the point of only drinking tea you don't really like? Surely better to have a hot chocolate once in a while and live your life to the full!

A packet of Pom bears is 65 calories. It’s literally not possible for them to have caused you to gain a kilo. I think you need to take a step back from your diet and look at it over the bigger picture rather than hanging up on the daily minutiae.

I think it's really hard to loose weight now I'm 40. I'm at previous highest weight and this is after loosing 6kg gradually since January. I'm still in the overweight category of my BMI. I'm a very active person walking and always have been, but used to eat terrible snacks between my healthy meals.
I did consider lots of biscuits once home 😬 chocolate malted milks, but I didn't !!! I've been doing so well for months and I definitely remember how I feel terrible after the sugar crash of a big blow out.

@ChiefWiggumsBoy I've been doing Noom and they say weigh in daily to provide accountability. It's meant to be about making better choices, but those are quite dull long term. But that's why I got fat in the first place !
