Hi all
hoping to move house in a few months. Have space utility for a tumble dryer. How long does it take for condenser dryer to do a normal load? Thanks

Really surprised at these estimates. I have a Bosch condenser dryer, about 12 years old now, and a full load takes maybe 60-90 minutes to dry. No idea whether it is a heat pump dryer (are all condenser dryers?) though. I have no complaints.

@Wallywobbles have you tried turning up the temperature, what brand is it?

How long is a piece of string?

So many factors - how damp the clothes are, what material etc.

If you forget to empty the water container it won't work BTW

@Pegasaurus we got the Lakeland one it does take up quite a bit of space and there's a knack to getting the most efficient layering / layout.

But once you're in a routine you can hang out overnight and dry by morning.

I have quite an old (at least 8 years old) LG tumble dryer. It dries a full load of mixed fabrics (t shirts, jeans etc) in under an hour. Towels take a bit longer, but not a huge amount more. It has a sensor, so recalculates the time throughout the cycle, according to how dry the load is getting. I put a half load on earlier, on a 58 minute cycle. By the time I’d read dd her bedtime stories (about 15 minutes) the display was showing 12 minutes left. I came downstairs, and heard it finish about 5 minutes later.

I do clean the door filter after each use, and clean/wash the main filter once a month to keep it running smoothly.
