How much would it cost to get this done, start to finish? Disclaimer - garden question

My "lawn" is an absolute clusterfuck. It's got bare patches, white patches, "thatch", big clumps of horrible old grass, docks, dandelions...for the past few years we've just been mowing it short and overseeding the really shit patches, but I think the time has come to do something more.

So does anyone know how much it would cost to get someone to come and rip it up, rake the topsoil, lay new turf and take away all the old crap? We could do it ourselves, but if it would be affordable to get someone else to do it I'd rather Grin

Just replying as no one’s got back to you yet and I didn’t want you to go unanswered.

I have no direct knowledge, but do randomly know of one that was done for about £1,200 for a fairly standard sized lawn in the north last summer!

Thank you for replying Flowers

Oof, that's quite steep! It would be sooooo good to just get it done though. Will mull it over some more.
