40 degree washable period pants

Can anyone recommend any of these? I mainly wash clothes at 40 degrees so just want to be able to chuck them in with the main wash rather than having to do a separate 30 degree wash.

Thank you.

I have modibodi and have always washed at 40c. As a rule, I don’t do separate washes. They are absolutely fine.

Same!

30 degrees wouldn’t kill bacteria so not suitable for underwear. Do some manufacturers recommend a 30 degree wash?

Yes @SquitMcJit they do. Although some say to soak them for 24 hours first. for example:

But I cba with that palava, so just want to chuck them in with my normal 40 degree wash.

I'm just thinking of moving over to the pants. Would a wash at 40 with a cap of zoflora or similar, be enough to kill bacteria?

Ladyoftheprom · 01/05/2022 12:00

With modibodi- I rinse them to clear water then pop them in a normal 30/40 wash without softener- job done

LowbrowVictoriana · 01/05/2022 12:01

My daughters and I use reusable pads. I rinse them thoroughly and then wash them at 40°, never occurred to me not to. They don't smell.

I wash Modibodi at 40 after a thorough rinse, they're swill good as new.

Oiwiththepoodlesalreadygg · 01/05/2022 12:17

I use cheeky wipes pads and pants. I rinse them cold straight after use and when I have a few just stick them in my normal wash - sometimes 30, sometimes 40, they come out clean for both! Never soaked for 24 hours!

chipsandpeas · 01/05/2022 12:25

i have a range of different brands and always just cold rinse and shove them in the washing machine
sometimes i just rinse them with cold water and hand wash with hot water if im not doing a machine wash

CeeceeBloomingdale · 01/05/2022 12:28

I wash modibodi and cheeky wipes on 40° as standard as I don't read labels it seems! They are fine.

purplesequins · 01/05/2022 13:33

I give them a cold rinse cycle without spin in the machine and then add the rest of a full load and wash at eco 40 setting (which is washing at 30).

washing hot/killing bacteria is only necessary for certain skin or other diseases. for most laundry water of whatever temperature is sufficient.

Thank you all, really helpful.

I have the M&S ones and it’s never occurred to me to wash them differently to the rest of the washing 🙈 They’ve been fine tho, so lazy washing for the win!
