Would it be appropriate to give DM’s carers a cash gift at Eid?

DM has two wonderful temporary carers, both of whom are muslim. We were talking this week about their plans for Eid and I’d like to give them each something but am not sure if cash gifts are usually just for kids and might offend them. Could anyone advise? Many thanks in advance

There are probably rules from their employer that state they can't receive cash gifts. It's usual to give gifts of food or low value gifts to nurses and carers as a thank you. Cards can be given as well.

Thanks for responding. I'm afraid we went ahead and did it because I was rushing off somewhere (this was before I'd seen your post). They were v happy and not offended at all so hopefully all ok but I guess I should have checked with the agency.

Don't tell their agency! They'll take it off them/make them give it back/declare it. It was a gift, keep it that way.
